iconEdit allows you to edit icons in the Finder. Select the item whose icon you wish to edit, select Get Info, click on the icon in the Get Info window, press Shift-Command-C and a fat bits view of the icon will appear. Edit the icon. When you are finished, Command-click on the window. The new icon will appear. If you want to undo your change, press Command-Z.
